Nick Soma - Regime Change
featuring President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho, Emperor Gaius Julius 'Caligula' Caesar Augustus Germanicus, and Adenoid Hynkel's doppelgänger

(Evil Imperialist Aggressor:)
We watched
We watched for signs on the shore
Too late
No waiting now anymore
They'll be coming from the north
They'll be coming from the south
To do away with your regime

It's about time for a regime change
Toppling the tyrant who made his people bleed

"Now I understand everyone's shit's emotional right now. But I've got a 3 point plan that's going to fix EVERYTHING." (*)

(Patriotic Farm Worker:)
I worked
I worked away in the sun
Now they
Will kill anything that I love
We'll be coming up so strong
We'll be proving this world so wrong
Nobody dare touch our regime

And so you talk about a regime change
Toppling the tyrant who made his people bleed
But we don't care about what you say
Reaching out your dirty hands, fueled by greed

He is the sun
He'll be shining on you a thousand times
He is the sun that radiates

"I have existed from the morning of the world and I shall exist until the last star falls from the night. Although I have taken the form of Gaius Caligula, I am all men as I am no man and therefore I am..." ()

(Brave Heroic Soldier:)
We watched
We watched for signs on the shore
Too late
No waiting now anymore
We'll be coming from the skies
We'll be coming from the seas
To show the strength of our regime

So you can dream of a regime change
Of toppling the tyrant who made his people starve
But we don't care about what you say
And into your tombstone, these lines we shall carve:

He is the sun
He'll be shining on you a thousand times
He is the sun that radiates

"Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people! Now let us fight to fulfil that promise! Let us fight to free the world - to do away with national barriers - to do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men’s happiness. Soldiers! in the name of democracy, let us all unite!" (*)

An electro echoplex, you're friends are more famous than mine. Lot's of catchy bits but no standout hook.

The lack of musical changes kind of leave me lost in a sad sonic soundscape for too long. The talking clips are effective but maybe moreso in a different song. Vocals don't give me the impression I should worry about what they are saying.

Now I know it didn’t say the guest vocalist could be audio clips from other media, so I guess I can let that slide. That’s straddlin’ the fence in terms of meeting the challenge though. What bothers me most is that this song screams out for multiple vocalist & you don’t have them. You wrote 3 characters into your song, and most people don’t have the range to play 3 different people. I’ll assume you don’t since you didn’t try, and sang exactly the same throughout. It’s a bit of a pet peeve I guess. I want a different voice for each character when I can, and with THIS challenge even more so. Recently in SpinTunes the same thing happened with a vocalist who did very well (Ryan Brewer). Despite his great vocals the song felt shorted by not having a different person for each role.
