Forum postExcellent vocals. I'm a sucker for this kind of acoustic instrument with synths arrangement. The backing vocal(?) on the chorus is great. this is really nice, maybe my personal favorite of the round.
After all this playing around with GarageBand and staying up past my bedtime, the one thing I’m stuck on is that I missed a syllable singing “inevitability” goddamnit !!!!
*The Numbers Don’t Lie
What’s the probability of you and me?
Is there a possibility that we could be
very much the same in ways that I
always was afraid that we might be?
Hide myself away while you’re asleep
What a pleasant company these problems keep
Pages upon pages upon pages
upon all the fears that fester and linger
and creep in
Ah, the numbers don’t lie
Ah, the numbers don’t lie
Ah, how cruel and callous the time feels
as it passes by
The numbers don’t lie
What am I to do without you here?
The inevitability of loss has made itself clear
“Happy birthday, Katie,” just proof that it’s begun
Talking to myself believing you can hear me
Ah, the numbers don’t lie
Ah, the numbers don’t lie
Ah, how cruel and callous the time feels
as it passes by
The numbers don’t lie*

Woo! You figured out GarageBand. 🙂 The cello adds way more emotion than if this was just you and the uke alone. The backing vox are great too. I still feel like you could structure some different sections a little bit, as it still feels a bit samey throught, but I'm defintely enjoying this weeks entry. Perhaps still a tad too long, but the fade out is nice and washey feeling...
