I honestly believe you have the most expressive and therefore in my eyes the best voice on songfight. That said I haven't yet heard the material that truly does it justice. I'd like to hear you singing to a Yeah Yeah Yeah style song. Anyway I digress. I like references to poodles. I'd like to hear some cohen-style picking from you rather than just strumming, to stretch your talents a bit more, but this more than ok.

again, interesting use of handclaps, which are kind of hit and miss. guitar and vocals are pretty solid. i'm kind of wishing for a bit more instrumentation to augment the claps percussion wise, like an eggshaker or something. lyrics are fine. production is pretty solid too.

As J$ and others have said your voice is dreamy on this"¦probably because you should have been sleeping when recording it 😄 ! I like the chord progression especially the change up at 2:20. The Handclaps actually distracted from a very pretty performance. Lyrical story was nice with the dance card allusion.

I like this one from the start - good guitar playing. Great vocal performance by the way. I know you didn't have tons of time to work on this one, and it shows in some aspects, but it seems really good to me from what I can hear. I give it an 85%.

Your voice allows me to forgive the obviously rushed recording. For the next round, I'd a) make sure you give yourself more time, and b) take a tip from the Bewells entry, and get your vocals that far forward in the mix.

Pros: An interesting chord progression, not cookie-cutter by any stretch of the imagination. Your voice is appealing as always, although there will be a con to it (see below). This sounds like, with some polish, it could be the kinda song that plays at the end of 'Grey Anatomy' or something.
cons - as pleasing as your voice is, you missed quite a few notes..which with such an intimate song is really dangerous of making me tune right out. I think i read you were pressed for time, so kudos for getting it in, just hopefully next fight you can really let your voice shine by singing on key a bit more. It seemed like you were making the melody up as you went...kinda searching for notes sometimes.
The Handclaps were: Ghastly. Very very aware that it was an add-on-cause-you-had-to (as were most people i think...including me) but i think having them go throughout was a little mistake.
Summary: It was an interesting song, and there were parts that were nice, parts that were boring, but i think it will be a fine tune when you work on it some more, which i hope you will
