i didn't know I had to squint
when you promised me the world
and brought the document

you guided me to every line
initial here and signature
using blood to sign

now i'm pouring over the legalese
with a fine toothed comb and a rosary
i can't believe i didn't see
the invisible ink

the invisible ink
the invisible ink

being famous sure is fun
but my hands are always cold
even in the sun

for interviews, i must prepare
but I can't see my own reflection
to just fix my damn hair

now i'm pouring over the legalese
with a fine toothed comb and a rosary
i can't believe i didn't see
the invisible ink

the invisible ink
the invisible ink

despite these facts i'm doing well
i didn't know a soul could sell
now I guess I'm going to hell

cause the invisible ink
yeah the invisible ink
the invisible ink
the invisible ink

Rawk! This reminds me of an old Green Day song but with a singer on a real downer, an almost resigned acceptance rather than angst. But it works so damn well this way. That is to say, I like the guitars, the harder edge to this song. I like the vocals. My only real nit is that when the music drops out the volume of the vocal seems a lot louder than with the music or maybe not as smooth a transition as I’d like. A few notes here and there are louder than others in the vocal, maybe the beginning of the second verse? I think the whoa oh’s could be layered or spread a bit better. When you add the extra vocals on them at the end, I like them a lot more. Still, this is one of the better entries of the challenge, I think.
Lyric: I like the lyric and I like your angle. It’s the most original so far.

This is solid pop punk, with some more power pop sounds at times that i like more than the pop punk core. The start of the chorus gives me some Cheap Trick vibes. The way the band drops out going into the chorus sounds a little awkward. The chorus gets maybe a little too deep into the genre, starts to lose me. I know it's appropriate for the pop punk style to have the sort of disaffected delivery for the vocals but I wish there had been some time where you sounded more emotive.
