I was surprised when I found myself enjoying the smoothness of this song. When the funky clav starts to play those licks on top of the stereo electric piano it feels really good. I like how the flute comes in after you sing the word "hippie". Your BVs on "I got my fingers crossed" sound fan-damn-tastic. The backwards bits are sparse and subtle, I might have missed them if I wasn't listening for them.
