references to permenant ink make me like this more instantly. nice harmonies but they squish the melody a little. I wish there was a little more lead work here rather than the chord progression being the sell of the song, if you see what I mean. Having said that this is my favorite so far, based on the beatles-sque progressions of the harmony and the fabulous rhytmic lurch of the drums and bass. great bass line...

excellent use of handclaps. terrific bass and how it works percussively with the claps. as always, your vocal work is stellar and second to none. no issues or worries here. the choruses are so CSN it's freaking uncanny.

I don't know if I've said this before, but I don't love your voice. That aside, I really like the songwriting and harmonies etc. The voice is probably just a personal taste thing too, but if you want some advice, you might want to avoid the really nasal feel. I'm no pro, but from what I've learned, don't sing from your chest. Sing from down in your diaphragm and breath without tightening your body. I'll rate you on songwriting. I give you a 90%.

My first thought when I heard this was "and they say I sound Canadian??!?!" Then I saw your reference to Odds in that other thread, and it all came together. I think you've already won the contest.

Pros - Very Bouncys, very 60's. A good catchy little pop tune. The little break down is a good way to break up the predicability, and it was the perfect length. Very nice work.
cons - I really shouldnt have done this "con" thing. Its really quite hard for some peoples. I guess the con is that it was pretty predictable, but hey, pop songs are suppose to be.
The Handclaps were: I really dont remember them, so they musta been good!
Summary Nice job all around.
