Entry from Shock Value in Nur Ein XIV.

Make a song with quiet and loud parts -- like every Pixies song you love. This can mean crescendos or decrescendos, sudden loud noises, whatever, just make good use of dynamics.

Shock Value
Ujn Hunter & Friends

*Bend the knee
I'll incinerate my enemies
For shock value
I'll obliterate your wolf pack too
Bend the knee
I'll eviscerate your family
For shock value
And then I will destroy you

Now my wrath is upon you
I'll rain fire from the sky
There is nothing you can do
All the world shall be mine*

your more metal stuff doesn't personally appeal as much to me as your punkier stuff but this is really well done and uses dynamics well. The double-challenge inclusion here doesn't work for me as well as your previous track either but also it doesn't bother me as much as BSS did. I don't think you've got much to worry about in terms of elimination (re: your comment elsewhere)!

I loved your round zero entry, which was stuck in my head for days, but this one is a bit too heavy for my tastes.

I liked the intro a lot. I think the SF crossover lessens its validity as an entry for both, though. I like how you guys sing.

90 seconds or so until we get lyrics...great… You set a dark mood with the music, and it sounds like it could be the backing of some movie from the pits of hell. When the lyrics start it's more jarring than anything & seems out of place. At least you have friends you can blame this on.

this song is huge! Love the mids coming through on the bass, it never gets lost. That gearshift into thrash, those rolling toms, the ripping vocals and judicious double kicks rocket this to the top of the bombastic list. And then it's done. Not a wasted second.

DANGEROUSLY BOMBASTIC

Abominominious: This song is so baritone. Those chunky hammer-on riffs are ear candy. These vocals have a swagger and variety that I seldom hear outside of Mike Patton projects. I would watch a spy movie with this on the soundtrack.
