“A Sense of the Absurd”
By Berkeley Social Scene

(mondegreens in parentheses)

I'm the god of Velveeta, honey (in a gadda da vida, honey)
I got cheeto money
I do what I please
Sweet dreams are made of cheese (sweet dreams are made of these)

Jose can you see? (oh say can you see)
Each day I’m so carefree
I’m so pretty
I’m the king of Bohemian Rap City (Bohemian Rhapsody)

Oh Yeah!

A sense of the absurd
The expense of a misheard
Past tense curse word
Nonsense reverb

She's got electric boobs (She's got electric boots, a mohair suit)
We’ve got matching tattoos
When we’re not on the loose
She’s wrapped up like a douche (revved up like a deuce)

We don’t need no sex vacation (We don’t need no education)
We’ve got a strong foundation
She calls everybody baby
Do the lucky lady (Dude looks like a lady)

Oh Yeah!

A sense of the absurd
The expense of a misheard
Past tense curse word
Nonsense reverb

For all intensive purposes (for all intents and purposes)
I’m a man with a vision
A Secret Asian man on a mission (Secret Agent Man)

Oh Yeah!

A sense of the absurd
The expense of a misheard
Past tense curse word
Nonsense reverb

A sense of the absurd
The expense of a misheard
Past tense curse word
Nonsense reverb

Your drums sound significantly more trashcan this week, and I like that. Intro too long. Nice verse singing. Really cool change-up at the chorus. The ambience and guitar lick give it a very distinct 90s feel, until the crazy chorus. Good stuff. Neat lyrics - I, too, like cheese and electric boobies.

You had me early on with the cheesy first verse. Creative mondegreens in there. I do feel like you peeked in the first verse, but that’s not to say the rest of the song wasn’t good. But the most memorable part for me came early. Nice work getting the Kool-Aid Man to do the “Oh Yeah” parts.
