I Don’t Want an Answer to That - Frankie Big Face

Where did Applejack go?
Oh never mind, I don’t want an answer to that
Let me believe that she’s still overseeing
Every orchard in her cowboy hat
Wielding a lasso made of honesty
And keeping her hair tied back
Knocking over fences and running free
That stubborn old Applejack

And where is Star Swirl now?
Oh never mind, I don’t want an answer to that
Can’t we assume that she’s forever in bloom
In a field of sparkling rainbow grass?
Scouting out planets with her telescope
She’s a very inquisitive girl!
Treating every star like a beacon of hope
That wishful-thinking old Star Swirl

And where art Lickity-Split?
Oh never mind, I don’t want an answer to that
Let me pretend that her life has no end
And she’s a modern-day Secretariat
Or maybe she’s opened up an ice cream shoppe
And admitted that she’s never gonna quit
‘Cause when she’s around you know the party don’t stop
That abrasive old Lickity-Split

But we all know
Just how it goes
We can’t always be
In pink PVC
You can’t save a pony from a glue factory

I enjoyed this. Cool tune and I like the synths/stylophone that you added. The fact that it's about My Little Pony makes me like it even more, I never would have got the reference myself (he says) but the concept coupled with the sincerity of the delivery is hilarious.

The first time I heard this, I didn't recognize the names as My Little Pony characters, and I was very confused. And then I read your post which pointed it out, and now I'm even more confused. Why is Frank writing a song about My Little Ponies? Is this a real issue in the MLP canon, or is Frank taking creative liberties? Does he think I already care about these characters, or is he trying to make me care about these characters? And what's up with that noodling synth-sax in my left ear? I guess maybe this just isn't for me.
