My song uses colorblindness as a metaphor for lack of conscience. I would hasten to remind any other participants or judges who might be colorblind themselves that metaphor is specifically a comparison between two unlike things.

Jon Eric - Colourblind

If I could tie a rope around a rainbow
I'd do it in the beating of a heart
I'd climb until I made it to the apex
And perch atop the keystone of the arch

And I believe that I would take you with me
To survey over all the planet's zones
I'd like to show you all the pretty colors
But you don't even have no working
You don't even have no working cones

If I could paint a perfect prism
The spectrum shines from paper to your skin
I believe I'd aim in your direction
And hope a little color could sink in

It breaks my heart that you will never see it
A sadness I can feel deep in my bones
I wish that I could share each image with you
But you don't even have no working
You don't even have no working cones

And don't you think you could have loved me?
As much as you can love someone
Other people have seen everything
There's nothing new beneath the sun

Don't you think you could have loved me?
Apologize in dulcet tones
I would have shown you all my colors
But you don't have no working cones...

If I could see in ultraviolet
If I could see in infrared
Then maybe I could understand you
Make sense of everything you said

But there's no fighting with my conscience
It's heavier than seven hundred stones
I'd try and tell you what it looks like
But you don't even have no working
You don't even have no working cones
