got a song I quite like here unfortunately hamstrung by me trying to sing hungover and it being far too hot to stay inside all day doing lots of takes, so here are my comped together hangover vocals. Musically started off trying to do an LCD Soundsystem build up (complete with loose ahhhhooooooooh vocals a la Dance Yrself Clean, Home), and added some Youth Lagoon style super pitch shifted wobbly keys in the middle (a la Dropla).

The Lowest Bitter - Blind Spot

it's a sham, the way we lie about it
but goddam, the lie keeps us surviving
living life with the belief
that no real harm could come to me
don't you know the lead gets script immunity?
and the camera loves me, babe!
so why would I be afraid?
without me the show wouldn't even get made

it's a sham, the way we lie about it
but goddam, the lie keeps us surviving
nobody wants to stare down the abyss,
there's nothing there,
so just keep your gaze ahead,
just look ahead, just look ahead

we've all got the same blind spot,
imagining some plot armour that we ain't got
this is schmuck bait, they would never kill me off
they would never write me out,
they won't ever,
they could never

it's a sham, the way we lie about it
but goddam, the lie keeps us surviving
nobody wants to stare down the abyss,
there's nothing there,
so just keep your gaze ahead,

just look ahead,
we've all got the same blind spot,
just look ahead,
some plot armour that we ain't got,
just look ahead,
we've all got the same blind spot,
just look ahead,
some plot armour that we ain't got
just look ahead, just look ahead, just look ahead, just look ahead

really like this, the synth / piano riff is a great hook with a cool kinda "uplifting club music" vibe and the whole song has a nice rise and fall with the various instrumental / percussive / vocal layers coming in and out. I think you mostly get away with the hangover vocals mentioned in the lyrics thread, or at least the lead vocal sounds good to me, I'm not as into the background vocals - I know you said in the lyrics thread that you were aiming for loose and that's fine as a choice but I feel like they intrude a little too much on the main vocals at time, maybe some tougher EQing to separate them a little more would have helped. Lyrics are good, percussion is a good fit, I like the way the rhythm of the higher pitched clave / woodblock / whatever that is opens the song and then nicely complements the main beat.

Nice intro, but make it half as long. Disco drums are cool as are the synth arps. Ear candy dings.
