A Sense of the Absurd
*- strangelove
*
He found himself alone at Christmas time
A vagabond in New South Wales
But he could not resist that sirens song
Calling him to Byron Bay
He had a love of leg-spin bowling
She had a playful streak
That night on a lonely cricket pitch
He found who could give the ball a tweak

She laid him on the green
She laid him on the green
She laid him on the green, green grass
And showed him some things he'd never seen

She flew out next day for Nashville
Left with out a word
This opera singer, who hated cricket
She had a sense of the absurd
He made his way back to Brisbane
To a relationship turned sour
Glad that he had made that Byron detour
His finest cricketing hour

She laid him on the green
She laid him on the green
She laid him on the green, green grass
And showed him some things he'd never seen

Another good style choice. I like the breakdown after the chorus.

Wacky cool instrumentation. Man, what happened to the penis songs? Very tasteful, cute little dongles to appreciate strewn about in this one. Nice work. You need to get louder to compete with these other folks - you've got good work but it's easy to be less impressed when it's mastered so quiet! And I hate to accidentally ding points for that!

As an ignorant American who knows nothing of cricket, I’m sure some things were lost on me here. Nothing here really held my attention.
