So tonight I’ve got my plans
Backpack full of spray paint cans

Paint a giant bleeding heart
On the walls of State School Seventeen
Abstract, flowing, I write her name
In black and white and acid green
Send a selfie to her Instagram
So she sees how insane I am

Each more complex than the last
She’s embarrassed

Anarchistic elements
Arise to show their discontent
Marching, screaming “Regime Change!”
In black and white and acid green
Riots disrupting the parliament
Try to overthrow government

Shattering at their feet
Blank marble faces staring up from the cobblestones

I never meant to start a revolution
I only wanted her attention
Who knew a quest for her affections
Could cause so much mass destruction
