Forum postI'm really not sure what I think about this. The story is just a little to creepy for some of the music. The music isn't bad, it's just the overall effect is...odd. So how do I rank this? picks up a dart This is where you landed.
Heart Shaker - Paco del Stinko
He rose before the ape stood tall
Father Time had yet to call
Some legends say he is a god
Throughout the aeons he has walked
He will take you by the hand
Lead you across a sea of sand
There's no release - Drop to your knees
And then he'll make you understand
A dried out heart atop a staff
He gives it a shake and softly laughs
And when you hear the timeless rattle
You have lost your final rattle
*
He will take you by the hand
Lead you across a sea of sand
There's no release - Drop to your knees
And then he'll make you understand*
There is no need for you to run
There is no way you can escape
Your time on Earth is nearly done
As I terminate your heart-rate
The myth is true it is not lies
He takes your soul out through your eyes
Into the mummified heart
Time for eternity to start
*
He will take you by the hand
Lead you across a sea of sand
There's no release - Drop to your knees
And then he'll make you understand*

Not bad, but did not really grab me
Heh, shakers. I get it. Wow, awesome arrangement in chorus. The flatline tone seems rather incidental (props for making it fit the chords you use, though). I'm missing something in this song, but I'm not quite sure what. I think it has to do with the vocals. The "shaker" part of the title seems to tie into the lyrics rather loosely, and lines like "The myth is true, it is not lies" make me die a little. All in all, top marks in the composition and mix department, but the less is a bit less compelling.
