All Hail the Snake
by WreckdoM
Is there any forest dweller more ferocious than the bear?
So fast he snatches salmon as they leap into the air.
He lets out a mighty roar through sharp and glistening teeth,
Standing ten feet tall or more his strength defies belief.
All the creatures great and small fear his razor claws,
or is there someone in the grass who doesn’t care at all?
As the bear thunders past he’s careful where he treads,
He knows an offended snake could likely mean his death.
Its known that in the jungle the lion sits the thrown.
Of all the prey he dines upon there’s one he leaves alone.
Cheetahs may run faster than any on the plain,
But they can’t outrun a venom coursing through their veins.
Sharks have rows of pointy teeth and sandpaper skin,
But you never see a shark on land cause that’s where snakes live.
Dinosaurs didn’t die of meteors, heat waves, or a plague
It’s just that there were a lot more snakes way back in the day.
We love the snake, All hail the snake,
You must respect the snake, Never shake the snake.
Of all the creatures on the earth mankind is truly king,
Inventing complicated devices to kill all kinds of things.
An evolutionary marvel that was born to rule the land,
Finds a snake under his porch, he screams and wets his pants
