Down to Under
by Ross Durand
solo performed by Steve Durand

Well you put us in a line and you send us down a hole
For a dollar a day you take our soul
Bring a hundred pounds of ore out of there in a sack
When you send us back down you know we might not come back

I'm going down to under the ground
Gotta dig up what you found
I'm going down to under
Just another piece of the machine you're building
I'm going down to under the ground
Gotta dig up what you found
I'm going down to under
Just another cog in the machine you're building

Well you put it in your phones and your satellites
I'm just trying to stay alive
when everything out of this hole is gone
You just put us in a line and send us down another one

I'm going down to under the ground
Gotta dig up what you found
I'm going down to under
Just another piece of the machine you're building
I'm going down to under the ground
Gotta dig up what you found
I'm going down to under
Just another cog in the machine you're building

Among the most rockingest riffs of the fight. The fact that your recording set up is good really gives this punch as well. You keep the structure concise, I'm never bored and everything is tightly played. The trumpets are an interesting, possible ill-advised addition, but I still commend you for taking the risk. I gotta admit I wasn't expecting it but I'd rate this as one of the best of the fight, if not the best. That said, one underestimates you at their peril. The main riff makes me wish I had long hair.
