On that cold sunny morning, they lined up to enlist
They were bold, they were brazen, and they stood tall in line
They were full of courage and their love for mankind

They were women, they were girls
They were sworn to defend us, and our place, in the world
But the bugs of Klandathu, they had other plans
And those brave men and women met their fate in the sands.
