A Sense of the Absurd
by Merisan
The band plays their last song
And the crowd moves on
Her search is starting
A scavenger of dark eyes
And jukebox magic moonlight
Our lady of roses
He’s drained the final drop
From his empty cup
The night is over
And it’s a long way home
With no warm hand to hold
This world feels colder
Without hope and order
Just a sense of the absurd
If they come together
They might survive tonight
The bouncer props the door
Her boot sticks to the floor
She swipes her lipstick
A mouth full of desire
Destroying whole empires
With a half-smile
Without hope and order
Just a sense of the absurd
If they come together
They might survive tonight
He stumbles to the street
Where their eyes can meet
For the first time
He lights her cigarette
A name he can’t forget

Story kinda bored me, but the performances were great. Musically it was very cheerful & entertaining right from the start. You’ve set the bar pretty damn high so far, so even though I’m ranking you high, I was honestly a little disappointed just based on your other entries.
