SpoilerThe official palindrome is the fast synth riff that plays under the middle and end of the song. There are many shorter ones interspersed throughout the song.
Our first attempt was much more layered, including the use of morse code palindromes using the lyric letters as one layer of palindrome, and the length of the notes in morse code as a second layer. It didn't come together as planned, but if you want to try it, the letters that are the same backwards and forwards in morse code are: E, I, M, O, P, R, S, T and X.
Here's what they match out to in inverse if you wanted to for a morse code palindrome, but could adjust the letters to match the note length
(Say 1/4 note for dot and 1/2 note for dash)
A-N
B-V
C- -
D-U
E-E
F-L
G-W
H-H

R-R
S-S
T-T
U-D
V-B
W-G
X-X
Y-Q
Z---
Needless to say, our brains couldn't handle the extra layers, and instead we have a sci-fi dystopian god complex of a song with smatterings of 1980's 'Yes' vocal effects for the chorus. Enjoy!
Deified
by Boffo Yux Dudes
We all arrive alone in the dark
Looking for a light, looking for a spark
Rely on ancient history
To dispel all our mystery
We testify our hopes and dreams
Try to codify what it all means
But we sanctify all of our fears
We deify our wasted years
Look for truth in a book, look for God in a word
Can you hear the voice? What is it you heard?
Messages get garbled, messages get lost
While across the seas we're hopelessly tossed
We testify our hopes and dreams
Try to codify what it all means
But we sanctify all of our fears
We deify our wasted years
The words get passed from voice to voice
We write them down we lose our choice
Where did we stray? How did we start?
The scriving minds stamps out the heart
Look for truth in a book, look for God in a word
Can you hear the voice? What is it you heard?
Messages get garbled, messages get lost
While across the seas we're hopelessly tossed
The words get passed from voice to voice
We write them down we lose our choice
Where did we stray? How did we start?
The scriving minds stamps out the heart
We testify our hopes and dreams
Try to codify what it all means
But we sanctify all of our fears
We deify our wasted years
