Not bad. A bit bland in the verses perhaps, but i like the chorus a lot.
Ever Kenievel
You found me when I was so hopeless
Propped me up onto my feet
But time went by and summer's over
It isn't what it used to be
You're only
You're only
You're only semi semi
You're only semi semi precious to me baby
Scars on my arms, I needed someone to give me
The love I could not give myself
But time went by and now I'm longing
To give my love to someone else
You're only
You're only
You're only semi semi
You're only semi semi precious to me baby
In certain fleeting moments
I think you felt it too
But neither of us spoke it
Content with what we knew
And it was always tarnished
This ring it never gleamed
Now fated to a drawer:
A promise unredeemed
You're only
You're only
You're only semi semi
You're only semi semi precious to me baby

God, is the review fatigue setting in already? Or do I just really like this song? This was one of my favorites of the round. Great groove, I like the fuzzy bass, great buildup throughout the song, really catchy sing-along-able chorus... I like how you keep the keyboards in the background just doing their thing, chilling in the background. There's some conspicuous pitch correction on the lead vocal throughout; it's possible that you did this intentionally as a style choice, but that's one thing I'd suggest changing. I really like what you've got going on, though, so just keep it up!
really enjoyed this one, definitely one of my favourites and would possibly have been my #1 if I was judging. Really catchy synthpop, the repeated "you're only" kinda ends up sounding like "ronely" most of the time but it's such an earworm that I don't think that qualifies as a negative. Leaning into 80s synthpop vibes is an easy way to get me on board but you're also doing it really well.
