I was meeting an old friend who told me:

To know the kind of shit
They teach our kids these days?
They say the earth is round,
But then how it don't fall down
If it ain't lying on a turtle's back in space?

When I was young they told me that the world was getting colder
But the story keeps on changing every year I'm getting older
Now they say a tree that falls may never make a sound
That North is South--oh great!--now all of my maps are upside down

The only thing that's stayed the same is
They can't keep their story straight
Everything we're taught's a lie!"*
