Well my taxes are filed, yeah, the feds cashed my check
And I’m waitin’ for my rebate but I haven’t got it yet
I’m supposed to get 600 bucks but we’ll just wait and see
Then I can do my part to kick start the economy

Because I’m not supposed to save it or invest in IRA
Or pay down my credit cards, though I’ve got lots to pay
No I’m supposed to go and spend it, cause nothing comes for free
Then I’ll be doin’ my part to kickstart the economy

I could buy gasoline or DVDs or text 6000 times
Or buy a bottle of Romanee-Conti 1989
It’s awfully nice of Mr. Bush to give some money back to me
So I can do my part to kick start the economy

Cause if he kept it he could buy 5 days to pay some soldier teen
Or 2400 bullets for an M16
And though the country that he’s leading is 9 trillion in debt
He thinks that giving me 600 back is his best bet

So when that rebate comes I hope I’ll know what I should do
I asked my neighbor Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, too
They said to spend and spend to prove my patriociticity
Then I’ll be doin’ my part to kickstart the economy
