Nick Soma - The Numbers Don't Lie

*DARK GREEN is the Head of Research, who has captured an exciting creature, the Test Subject, that warrants further study.

LIME GREEN is the Assistant, who is mistrusting of the newly arrived creature which he deems to be a freak of nature. He does show a certain interest for the Test Subject's brain, though.

BLUE is the Test Subject, a fascinating, yet dim-witted individual of the Homo sapiens species from distant Earth. Unable to remember the abduction, he is first and foremost confused about his new surroundings. *

The numbers don't lie
He's special, this guy
We'll handle him well
Lock him up in a cell

Why doesn't he speak?
This man is a freak!
He's not even green.
Now, don't be so mean!

And I don't know how I got here
I must have been somewhere, but not here
No, I don't know how I got here

We have to be nice
And measure him thrice
We need much more data
This doesn't suffice, oh no no no

Well, I would suggest
A different test.
Shall I get a probe
From his temporal lobe?

And I don't know how I came here
But everybody knows my name here
I seem to be a person of fame here

Honestly, I do think he's insane
I propose that we replace his brain

And I don't know how I got here
(Numbers do not lie, he's what we need)
I must have been somewhere, but not here
(Now this looks quite promising indeed)
No, I don't know how I got here
And there is no way home
And I don't know how I came here
(Numbers do not lie, he's our man)
But everybody knows my name here
(Take his brain and put it in a can)
I seem to be a person of fame here

The numbers don't lie
He's special, this guy

It's kind of an unusual mixture of styles. I think it's one of those songs I'd have to listen to several times to really figure out if I like it or not. but often those are the type of songs I end up liking the most in the long run. I was feeling the energy was a little low on the verses but it picks up a lot. good contrast.

I like the dynamic shift to the chorus… and you always have nice little break/fills. I prefer the drums in the second section, but it makes a nice difference from the intro. Ear candy in both ears. Cool sections. Replace the brain. Nice leads and bgv.
