Liner Notes
I was going to go down the route of a polite British argument but then I found this from googling and it wrote itself.

I loved the idea of a nursing home called pleasant row and it stuck.

welcome to Pleasant Row
age exclusive homes
with four 1 bedroom bungalows

welcome to Pleasant Row
your cats and dogs are welcome to
but you better croak before they go

welcome to Pleasant Row
and if your stay is not for long
then we'll wheel you off to Brandon Road cemetery

bienvenue à Pleasant Row
because the offer's open to the French
Don't you know

willkommen zu Pleasant Row
and the Germans can join the party
if they want to show

welcome to pleasant row
if I could pick a way to
then you know, you know

if you get in quick
we'll put on the kettle
if you get in quick
with some digestive biscuits
if you get in quick
you'll get some warm milk before bed
as in the morning you could be dead

Does your DAW's bpm counter only have double digits? I like your songs but as someone who craves a bit of head-bopping energy I wish the tempo was nudged a few (like 50) bpm higher. Anyway, the guitar and piano play off each other nicely here, the guitar in particular adds some nice lead colour without being overbearing. Cool little snare shuffle in the verses and then ride action in the chorus. I think it's cool to take different lyrical directions with each chorus repetition, but I think I prefer the lyrical flow in the first chorus, so it was a bit of a shame that never got repeated. This benefits from repeated listens though, which is always a good sign. More songs need digestive biscuits.

I liked this right from the first listen. The vocal phrasing and tone are good. You used the two foreign language lines well. All two of them. I love the vocal delay and melody. The sparse parts in the keys and guitar work very well for me.
