Balance Lost
Show me a short cut to save time
Everybody's leaving me alone at the start line
I can smell a scent as the wind blows
Something that remains even after you go
Salvation will not be brought to you by a blinding light in your darkest hour
Or force you to prostrate yourself before a needy and jealous will
It will not absolve you of the need to adapt with the passing of time
And that perfection is a gift you were given to squander
What did you see in the lamp light?
Some people understand and some people didn't try
Did you really think you're the end all?
Life still continues even after you fall
We will not expect you to perceive the largest black hole down to the tiniest electron
With senses developed for the purposes of hunting deer
Evolution will put you in the driver's seat
Until the technological singularity arrives and makes us all obsolete
When the gas is released
It lifts me off my feet
When the pinch starts to grip
That's when I know I'm losing it
