Brownie Points

My old lady makes a game of sizing me up every day
Keeping score of every little thing that I might do or say

I'm slow on the uptake but still over time I've learned
How to tip the scales in my favor
And get brownie points from her

Let me give you pointers there are some things that a man can do
Starting with the basics you should tell her that your love is true

Be the first to say you're sorry when you have a spat
Seal the deal with flowers and a card
You get brownie points for that

You may think that I am whipped
But that's a charge that I'll deny
You will value brownie points
When you learn what they can buy

And when the fateful day arrives for me to finally cash them in
Open up the books to my account and let the games begin

I can get my fill of all the things that I prefer
And to the extent she does it well
I'll give brownie points to her
