Forum postlove the layered / vocoded / sampled vocals, this really stands out from the other songs in a good way. Sweet lyric, too. Another one I've really enjoyed each time it came around.
Entry from Deified in Nur Ein XVII.
Use a palindromic musical phrase of at least 6 notes total (melody must be a palindrome but rhythm can change)
Deified, by Stacking Theory
Spoilerthis is a song about love and ageing.
a song about finding a way to keep going.
a song which acknowledges that when you feel like sisyphus it helps to have a goddess to keep you from giving up, even if you have to hold her up too
there's a palindrome in the guitar riff - F D C Bb F G A Bb / Bb A G F Bb C D F
and also in the 2nd guitar harmony - Bb G F D / D F G Bb
I'm looking for a sign
every morning I wake up and take up
the challenge of living by giving
myself to the moment
or whatever else I’ve been told
is in vogue
when I butter my toast it’s the most
I can do to stop thinking of you
and the hole that you leave
whenever you go
i’m looking for a sign
i’m trying to find a way through
every evening we’re falling to sleep
and we don’t even speak
let fatigue run the show
and the problems
never get solved
is there a way that we could put this to rest
and get back to the Art of being better together?
i’m looking for a sign
i’m trying to find a way through
and I’m doing it for you
I’ll be thinking of your face
because i worship you
i worship you

My attention was grabbed right from the start because of the vocal samples. I really like how this builds and just a really sweet song. Kinda reminds me of Pickle Darling between the bedroom indie vibe and Oceania accent. The melodies are very sweet and I really dig the simple beat and how it occasionally drops out on beat 1. The extra bits of percussion are a nice touch. This is a great example to some of the other entrants on how to keep an arrangement interesting from verse to verse.
