A sense of the Absurd
by Cavedwellers

While I was crafting rhyme
You tired of marking time
While it was on your dime
So it was now or never
And I could tell it true
That I was losing you
But I knew what to do
To keep us two together

Just the cleverness
To save togetherness

I sang this love song:
“You shape my life
With tools sublime
I’m molded by
Each hidden die”
Face twisted tight,
You didn't take it right
“Each hidden die”
Set your rage alight
V2
A faceful of pinot gris
Is all you gave to me
Before you turned to flee
Instant disappearing
Instead of poetry
You heard obscenity
A sense absurdity
Made only by mishearing

Should have took a knee
Like you were Butterbean

Note: the Mondegreen is "Each Hidden Die", it didn't make sense to me until I said it out loud.

Poor mastering/compression strikes again - very much earhurt. I am glad you are pulling out a different drumbeat. Pleasant singing, but the melody leaves me a little lost. And it devolves into mostly the typical Cavedwellers drum beat, with some neat alterations here and there. Yes you get a point for the vibraslap.
Lyrically I was kinda tuned out pretty fast, but musically it was an enjoyable experience. Hate to admit it took me longer than it should have to get “Each Hidden Die”. I had to say it out loud a dozen times first.
