First Blood (aka "Six Quarts")
by Glen Raphael

Six quarts of blood
Is all a man has;
It runs out fast
Until the first blood
Could just be the last

Six quarts of blood
Flows in your vein
It helps your brain
It's all you need
Until you start to bleed

Six quarts of blood
Six quarts of blood
Gallon and a half
Gallon and a half
Gallon and a half of blood

[spoken]:
"The primary function of red blood cells, or erythrocytes, is to carry oxygen and carbon dioxide. Hemoglobin is an important protein in the red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to all parts of our body.

The primary function of white blood cells, or leukocytes, is to fight infection. There are several types."

[repeat verse/chorus]

[spoken]:
"The primary function of platelets, or thrombocytes, is blood clotting. Platelets are much smaller in size than the other blood cells. They group together to form clumps, or a plug, in the hole of a vessel to stop bleeding.

This concludes our lesson for tonight."

Your song demonstrates that you've got a good ear for euphony and harmony - a trait that tends to be a good predictor for Nur Ein progress. The vocal doesn't match the rest of the recording, though; it sounds like the instruments were recorded in a studio, but the vocal was recorded with a cheap microphone. This is usually indicative of using music bed loops, which only get you so far. One last comment: for some reason it bugs me that the spoken-word portions are clearly being read by the same voice that does the singing. If this had been my song, I would have asked a friend to read that part, for sonic variety.
